Enoch, Utah

Anita Kaye Howard, a woman of vibrant creativity, boundless compassion, and remarkable generosity, left us on August 1, 2026. Born on August 18, 1944, in Carnegie, OK, Anita's life was a continual testament to the power of love and service. Anita, a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother, made her home where ever she landed, filling it with warmth, laughter, and her signature crafts. Her creativity shone bright, whether she was sewing, painting, or crafting intricate wood decorations. In the quiet moments, she could be found on the golf course, an interest she developed later in life alongside her husband, George.

Anita's professional life was as dynamic as her personal one. As a flight attendant, she soared high, bringing her unique brand of kindness and care to the skies. Her dedication was recognized by her peers, making her a beloved figure in her profession. Yet, her passion truly lay in service to others, a trait that echoed in every aspect of her life. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Anita served with unwavering love and dedication. Her influence was particularly felt in her role as a leader in the Young Women’s calling, where she touched countless lives with her kindness and impartial love. Scriptures remind us, "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another" (John 13:35). Anita embodied this verse, her actions a living testament to her faith.

Anita's life was a symphony of love, service, and dedication. She was the heart and soul of her family, a beacon of love to her husband George, her children Kevin, Kamilla, and Kyle, and her sister Myrna Bozin as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She embraced life with a sweet tooth, a love for Diet Coke, Hershey bars, and ice cream, and a spirit that was always ready for fun. Anita was preceded in death by her son Kurt, her father Frederick Jr, mother Lottie Waggoner, and sisters Juanita Koeppel and Micky Koeppel.

Anita's legacy will be celebrated at a viewing on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. MDT at Cedar Valley Funeral and Cremation, 2086 N Main Street, Cedar City, Utah. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. MDT at the Southern Utah National Cemetery, 2181 1600 South, Cedar City, Utah.
