He was born on August 12, 1930, in Cedar City, Utah to Ashby Wilson and Lidia Verna (Knell) Pace. A courageous and generous soul, Boyd lived a life of service and dedication. Boyd's garden was his sanctuary, where he cultivated not only plants but also relationships, often sharing his bountiful harvest with anyone who visited. His tomato and onion sandwiches were particularly well-loved, with an extra helping of onions, of course.
