He was the 4th child born into his family followed by a younger brother. Growing up he attended Monterey Vista Elementary, Richard Garvey Intermediate Junior High, and then Graduated from Edgewood High in West Covina. During High School he was in plays and really knew how to captivate the audiences hearts. At 19 years old he was Manager at a couple of Jack Lalain Health Spa’s. Brian was a self taught musician who played the drums, keyboard, organ, and piano. In the 70’s he sold pianos and organs at the mall for a few years by playing solos on them for customers. He also earned a scholarship to Pepperdine University in 1974 to play the drums for one of their music performance groups.
Throughout his adult years he picked up Pest Control, and treated many peoples homes over the years.
Between 1974-1977 he performed in a band with his brother Pat, and friend Jim Wells. They performed at church dances, weddings receptions, proms, etc… Brian (drums), Jim (Guitar), and Pat (Base). In 2005 the band got back together for about 7 more years with a couple more friends from time to time.
Brian married Lynn Schreiber in 1973 and together they had 4 children. Joshua, Laura, and then James and Joseph were twins. They were married for 9 years.
He later married Priscilla Trask who brought into the marriage her sons Michael, and Adam, and together they had Crystal in 1985.
Brian was married to Barbara Dorlaque from 1996 - 2015.
Brian was proud of all of his 7 children, 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He showed up to many events, and was seen at times trying to teach his kids and grandkids to play the instruments he was a master at. He had a way of bringing laughter to the most ordinary moments.
On February 14, 2026 Brian unexpectedly passed away from a tragic accident that occurred near Fillmore, Utah.
His sense of humor, big smile, and tender hugs will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
