In Loving Memory of Charles Ernest Boynton III
1949 – 2026
Charles Ernest Boynton III, affectionately known as Charlie, passed away at the age of 77, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, stories, laughter, and love.
Born in Mansfield, Massachusetts, Charlie was the youngest child of Charles Boynton and Marie Orrall. Throughout his life, he carried with him a spirit of adventure and a love for living life his own way.
Charlie proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he spent much of his working life as an over-the-road truck driver, traveling through all 50 states. The open road was more than just a workplace for Charlie; it was where he found a sense of freedom and adventure.
His love for the road extended beyond his career. Charlie had a special place in his heart for riding his Harley-Davidson and attending motorcycle rallies across the country. Whether traveling down a long stretch of highway, camping under the stars, or enjoying a day fishing, Charlie was happiest when he was out enjoying life.
Those who knew Charlie will remember his fun-loving personality, his quick wit, and, of course, his unmistakable sarcasm. He had a way of keeping people on their toes and bringing laughter into a room. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, making memories, sharing stories, and finding humor in everyday life.
Above all, Charlie leaves behind a family who loved him and will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; his children, Greg, Jacque, and Melissa; his stepchildren, Thomas, Matthew, and Christopher; 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; his brother Richard Boynton, and his sister Joan Jones; along with several nieces and nephews.
Charlie lived a life filled with miles traveled, friendships made, adventures shared, and memories that will last a lifetime. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a spirit that could never be tied down.
The road may have ended for Charlie, but the memories of his journey will live on in all those who loved him.
Rest easy, Charlie. May there always be an open road, a beautiful ride, and a little sarcasm wherever you are.
