On October 11, 2026, the world lost a truly talented and dedicated soul, Clifford Thomas Hanson. Born on April 19, 1955, in Tooele, UT, Clifford, affectionately known as Thomas, was an individual who was able to, showcase his creative spirit and supportive nature in all that he did.
Thomas was a topographical map designer for the Bureau of Land Management, where his talent and precision were always on display. Outside of work, he was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting, and fishing. His love for nature was not just confined to these activities. Thomas was also an accomplished rock hound, with a keen eye for finding and collecting beautiful crystals and rocks. His supportive nature shone through in his passion for creating masterpieces with his hands. He was an expert at leather and beadwork and had a knack for restoring vintage cars to their former glory. He also made beautiful pieces of furniture, showcasing his incredible woodworking skills. As Vincent Van Gogh once said, "I put my heart and soul into my work, and I have lost my mind in the process." This quote captures the essence of Thomas' dedication to his passions.
He was extremely proud of his granddaughter Mckenzie for her accomplishments as a tattoo artist and Brooke for her brave service in the military. His legacy continues through his loved ones: his domestic partner, Shirley Brunson; his daughter, Jennifer Hanson, and son-in-law, Thomas Cameron; his granddaughters, Mckenzie Anthony and Brooke Miller, and their respective husbands, Christian Record and Christian Anthony. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Hanson.
Thomas' life was a testament to passion, creativity, and dedication. As we remember him, let us cherish the memories we shared with him and celebrate the unique life that he led. We invite you to leave your fond memories and upload any photos you have of Clifford to the memorial page, as we pay tribute to a truly remarkable man. Thomas lived an extraordinary life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
