Georgia Slade

Georgia Lee Steward Slade (Mom, Sister, Aunt Sister, Granny, Jane) was born on June 19, 1936 and passed away on June 17, 2026 at home with her little dog, Hershey by her side, one day short of her 90th birthday.

Georgia was raised in Silverton and Durango, Colorado. Mountain grown. She eloped in 1956 "with one of those Slade boys, Hal." They enjoyed 48 years of love and dedication. Hal passed in 2002 and her life was never the same. He was truely her hero. They are having a grand reunion without a doubt.

Surviving Georgia is her daughter, Becky Helquist and her husband, Doug; her brother, Bill Steward and his wife, Wendy; grandson, Dayne Slade; adopted grandson, Bob & Sally Langneese; great granddaughgters, Marissa & Mariah; and many nieces and nephews.

Georgia was preceded in death by her beloved Hal and daughter and son-in-law, Janet & Donnie Goode.

Burial will be in Kanab, UT where she will be next to her beloved Hal and daughter Janet at a date to later be determined.
