Linda Mora

–

Cedar City, Utah

On August 28, 2026, Linda Knight Mora peacefully began her next journey, free from earthly challenges she faced in her later years, and is now at peace.

Linda was born on June 14, 1948 - Flag Day - in Provo, Utah, to Harold Clarence Knight and Nadine Wiscombe. When Linda was a little girl her Grandpa Ralph Wiscombe told her that all the flags were hung each year because it was her birthday. It was a sweet story she carried with her and one that made Flag Day feel just a little more like Linda's day.

Linda was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend. She was easygoing, highly intelligent, and blessed with an incredible memory - her family often said she had a memory like an elephant. She was fun to be around, quick to laugh, and had a way of making others feel comfortable and welcome. It seemed that everyone who met Linda loved her, and she truly was a joy to be around.

Linda was the loving mother of seven children: Matthew, Kathy, Debbie, Megan, Bud, Rachel, and Jacob. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy. Linda was also a beloved sister to Kathy Hart, Nancy Ann Townsend and Sandy Vanderstraten.

Although Linda lived in a care home in her later years, her cousin, Connie Dove was her devoted champion and constant guardian. Going far beyond family ties, Connie watched over Linda with endless affection, always ensuring her days were filled with comfort and joy. Their close bond was a beautiful reflection of the love and friendship they shared.

Linda will be remembered for her intelligence, her easygoing nature, her remarkable memory, laughter, and most of all, the way people felt when they were around her. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that Linda is now at peace, and that the joy, love, and memories she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A viewing will be held at Cedar Valley Funeral & Cremation on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 12:00 pm, a graveside service will follow at Cedar City Cemetery at 1:00pm.

Miss Me But Let Me Go

When I come the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
Miss me, but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's part of the master plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know.
Laugh at the things we used to do
Miss me, but let me go.
