Cedar City, Utah
Marsha Claire Miller Robinson, age 86, of Paragonah, Utah passed away peacefully in Cedar City Utah on April 12, 2026 surrounded by family. Marsha was born in Cedar City, Utah on January 20, 1940 to Robert Austin Miller and Florence Robb Miller.
Marsha spent her younger years growing up in Parowan Utah where she enjoyed spending time with her siblings, cousins, and friends. She graduated from Parowan High in 1958 where she was the editor of the yearbook and enjoyed her participation in church youth activities. Marsha was blessed by the influence of her extended family and these early experiences helped shape her love for others and put her on a path of kindness, charity, and service.
On September 19, 1959, she married her high school sweetheart, Lyle Dean Robinson, they would have celebrated 67 years together this fall. They were married and lived in Parowan until Dean’s work took them to Taft, California where they forged many friendships that last to this day. They returned to live in Paragonah in 1968, where they have enjoyed living ever since. She taught her children many skills including cooking, sewing, knitting, and house and yard work. More importantly she was an example of Christ-like love that helped to strengthen their testimonies of the gospel through her example. She was the center of her family and didn’t forget a birthday or anniversary. Family gatherings were always important to her. Marsha is remembered by her family for her homemade noodles and pork chow mein, which was often the chosen menu for her children’s birthday celebrations. As children, we looked forward to hot bread when we returned from school. She was a favorite Aunt and always enjoyed when her nieces and nephews would drop by for a visit.
Marsha was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings, including Relief Society President, librarian, teacher and minister. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Parowan and Paragonah literary clubs. She was an avid reader and was looking for some new books to read up until the day of her passing. When her oldest daughter left for college, Marsha returned to work. She spent a few years working in the cafeteria at Parowan Elementary and cleaning at Chalet Village in Brian Head before retiring after many years spent at the Bank of Iron County and Wells Fargo Bank. Through these associations she nurtured many friendships and always held them very dear.
She is survived by her husband Lyle Dean Robinson; Children, Lisa (Tracy) Sodders of Palmyra Indiana; DeAnn (Robert) Brown of Panguitch, Utah; Brenda Robinson of Cedar City, Utah; Staci Robinson (Logan) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and Jared Robinson (Paragonah, Utah).
