St. George, Utah
Shannon Agnes Patterson, affectionately known by her loved ones as Coco, Shark Grouber, and Granny Shanny, entered into eternal rest on December 13, 2024. Born on November 5, 1970, in Daly City, California, Shannon spread her wings and touched various corners of the world, including Petaluma, Cotati, Ronhert Park, Chico, and finally settled in St. George, Utah. Shannon was a radiant soul, her spirit as inviting as a warm hearth, her heart brimming with empathy, laughter, and boundless love.
Shannon was a devoted caregiver, a profession that mirrored her nature perfectly. Throughout her life, she was a beacon of support to those who needed it, always willing to lend her ear or share a comforting word. Whether working as a nanny in San Francisco, a waitress, or with adults with disabilities in group homes, Shannon poured her heart into her work. In her free time, she found solace in the simple pleasures of life like listening to music, watching movies, or engrossed in heartfelt conversations over the phone. Shannon had a profound love for her family and a deep-rooted faith in God. She often found herself immersed in prayer at home or at church. Her faith was a testament to her resilience, and her strength was a beacon of hope for many.
Shannon leaves behind a loving family, including her son, Konnor Patterson, and his wife, Megan; her father, Thomas Duff; her mother, Gloria Veith; her half-brother, Nick Veith; her half-sister, Emily Fry; her nephew, Jacob Rollston; and her precious grandson, Sebastian Patterson. She is preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Duff; her step-father, Dave Veith; and her grandparents, Eloisa and Candy Garcia, and Harry and Agnes Duff.
Shannon's life was a testament to the verse in the book of Proverbs (3:3-4): "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man." Shannon's life was a beautiful symphony of love, faith, and resilience.
