Tom "Pug" Hendricks

–

Cedar City, Utah

Reene Thomas (Pug) Hendricks Jr. peacefully returned home on September 30, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born on April 12, 1951, in Logan, Utah, to R. Thomas Hendricks Sr. and Hilda (Stock) Hendricks.
Tom served honorably in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic in the Vietnam war. He later built a lifelong career as an auto mechanic but could fix anything. He had a strong work ethic and expected it in others.
Tom moved his family to Beaver, Utah in 1995 where he worked as a mechanic in multiple garages before opening his own mechanic shop, Tom’s Auto Repair.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathy (Bennett) Hendricks and his 6 children: Jeremy (Julie) Montgomery, Wellington, UT; Bill (Sara) Hendricks, Logan, UT; Tracy (Gordon) Owens, Nibley, UT; Kade (Stephanie) Hendricks, Newton, UT; Tricia (Alex) Allsop, Hurricane, UT; and Dillon (Jessica) Hendricks, Morgan, UT.
He is also remembered by 22 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and two sisters: Anita Phelps and Joyce Ricks. He was preceded in death by his mom, dad and brother.
The family would like to especially thank Tricia for all her tireless work and constant care for dad these last months, and to Mission Hospice out of St. George. They were all phenomenal in helping Tom in his last days.
In order to honor Tom’s wishes, no funeral will be held at this time; however, a family celebration will be held next spring in Logan, Utah.
