William Anthony Himel, known affectionately as Billy, was born on September 30, 1949, in Little Rock, AR, and lived an ambitious and generous life until his passing on August 13, 2025. Known for his supportive nature, he was the bedrock of his family, always putting them first in his life. His wit was as quick as his mind, often lighting up a room with his humor and vibrant spirit. As an accomplished electrician, William spent 35 years working in construction, where he left his mark on prominent projects, including several hotels and casinos in Las Vegas and the NBA racetrack. His work with Browning Arms and his commitment to coaching soccer and baseball are equally testament to his diverse interests and talents.
William resided in various places over the years, including Huntington Beach, Ogden, Las Vegas, and Parowan, but wherever he went, he took his love for hunting, fishing, and golfing with him. His drive and determination were equally apparent in his personal life. As Albert Einstein once said, "Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value." William was indeed a man of immense value, evident in the love and respect he earned from his family, friends, and colleagues. His generosity was unmatched, and his support for those he loved was unwavering.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy Himel, and their children, Ben, Rhenda, Kenny, Billy, Tim, James, Tammy, and Brittney. The legacy of William's love for family continues in his grandchildren; Willie, Hunter, Brennen, Aubree, Lydia, Sasha, Brooke, Hannah, Kaela, Gracie, Autumn, Kristanna, Matthew, and Faith. Also mourning his loss are his sisters, Dian and Denise. William was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Helen Hall, and his children, Phillip, Ashley, and Daniel.
As we remember and celebrate William's life, we invite you to share your memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Let us recall his ambitious spirit, supportive nature, generous heart, and witty humor, and honor the remarkable man behind these qualities. May our collective memories serve as a testament to the incredible life he lived.
