Johna Meldrum

Funeral Assistant

Johna grew up in a large family where service, compassion, and caring for others were simply a way of life. Those values have remained at the heart of who she is and ultimately led her to pursue a career in funeral service. She is currently attending school to become a licensed Funeral Director and is passionate about helping families feel cared for, understood, and supported during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Johna’s connection to this work is also deeply personal. After losing her husband, she raised six of her seven children on her own. That experience gave her a profound understanding of grief, resilience, family, and the importance of having compassionate people beside you when life changes unexpectedly. She brings that understanding, along with genuine warmth and empathy, to the families she serves.

A lifelong go-getter, Johna has never been afraid of hard work or learning something new. Outside of the funeral home, she enjoys gardening, beekeeping, winemaking, and working with herbs. She has a love for natural and traditional practices and enjoys creating homemade salves, tinctures, and other herbal preparations.

Whether she is caring for her family, tending her garden and bees, or serving a family through loss, Johna approaches life with compassion, curiosity, strength, and a genuine desire to care for others.
